FAQs
Is the Sapphic Munch affiliated with the Queer Womens’ Munch?
No, it is separate, though many of the members are the same. The Queer Womens’ Munch used to meet at the Old Spaghetti Factory in New West on Wednesday evenings. The Sapphic Munch started out as a way to fill the gap in the community, since the Queer Womens’ Munch took a hiatus.
Why is the Sapphic Munch location not public on Fetlife?
When the RSVP was set to moderated, a lot of men and unicorn hunters tried to join constantly. It got tiring to moderate the invite list, so the invites have been moved to email only. The events are on Fet for publicity and social media only.
I identify as a man and I am the partner of someone who wants to attend the munch. Can I join?
The Sapphic munch is a women-loving-women space that centres relationships around those that feel comfortable in belonging to a queer women’s space. It is important to hold space for the LGBTQ+ community, however the Munch is not FLINTA-orientated due to the way FLINTA places transmasculine individuals with female-aligned spaces, which feels disingenuous. FLINTA has also not taken root in North America as opposed to Germany possibly due to those reasons.
If you are transmasc or a cis man that wants to find place in the Queer Leather or BDSM community, please consider joining the Queer Leather Munch instead, organised by HoneyedFemme on Fetlife.
Can I contact you to use your art in AI/Cryptocurrency/Machine Learning…
No. I am against the use of AI, Machine Learning, Cryptocurrency and NFTS in art. Support real artists. Also buy me a beer.
